Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled General Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team in a remote primary health care setting. As a valued member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive primary healthcare services to the local community.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and culturally aware GP to work in a unique and challenging environment. You will have the chance to contribute to the development of a permanent GP service tailored to meet the needs of the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality primary healthcare services to clients across the lifespan, treating illness, promoting wellbeing, and supporting community health action.
- Integrate Indigenous cultural imperatives into the delivery of healthcare within the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team to improve health outcomes in the region.
- Contribute to the development of a sustainable GP service that meets the needs of the community.
Eligibility Criteria
- Holds specialist General Practitioner registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Fellow of the RACGP or ACRRM.
- Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Broad-based primary care experience in rural/remote settings, ideally in Indigenous health.
- Culturally aware with knowledge of issues impacting remote Indigenous communities.
