Job Overview

The Industry Program Manager plays a pivotal role in designing, executing and continuously improving flagship industry initiatives. This position delivers commercially relevant programming to strengthen the screen industry's capability, market access and member success.

Main Responsibilities

Programming & Strategy

Screen Forever Conference Programming

  • Lead the design, planning and thematic direction of SCREEN FOREVER conference programming streams that reflect commercial trends, challenges and opportunities in the screen industry.
  • Establish and facilitate a Programming Advisory Board, curating session ideas with leading screen professionals.
  • Manage comprehensive program timelines, scheduling, speaker logistics and production documentation.
  • Develop a detailed session slate, produce some sessions and engage session producers and moderators.
  • Negotiate and secure high-profile speakers and partners locally and internationally.
  • Maintain a diverse, inclusive and high-impact program, ensuring strong engagement with underrepresented communities.
  • Advise on media releases and communications.

Programs Development

  • Design and deliver Ones to Watch annually, overseeing participant selection and professional development content.
  • Evaluate applications, working with external assessors to select a high-calibre cohort.
  • Match participants with established producers aligned to their projects, needs and growth ambitions.
  • Deliver targeted professional development content focused on real-world knowledge, financing, commissioning and market strategy.

Pitch On Demand

  • Develop an end-to-end program rollout, securing participation and briefs from major commissioners.
  • Assess pitch submissions for relevance, supporting commissioners in finalising pitch meeting selections.
  • Coordinate across teams to maintain consistent messaging and a seamless user experience.

Genr8

  • Lead the strategic design and launch of Genr8, positioning it as a future-focused forum dedicated to content innovation and emerging platforms.
  • Oversee event programming and identify high-calibre speakers while facilitating introductions to partnerships team.
  • Guide the development and deployment of strategic communications and media campaigns to enhance event profile and reach.

Masterclass Delivery

  • Research timely topics relevant to industry professionals, focusing on legal, financial and business issues.
  • Source, secure and brief expert speakers and hosts.
  • Coordinate all elements of Masterclass delivery, including session outlines, speaker materials and event logistics.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Represent the organisation at industry events and markets to build networks and inform program design.
  • Contribute and consult on additional events as required.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to direct reports.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments to ensure alignment of program objectives and internal workflows.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness, refining strategies based on feedback, outcomes and metrics.
