Job Overview

The Industry Programs Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the success of SPA's flagship industry initiatives. This position is responsible for delivering high-impact, commercially relevant programming to strengthen the screen industry capability and market access.

  • This includes developing and implementing comprehensive industry events and programs for the screen sector.
  • A deep understanding of the Australian and international screen landscape and the evolving role of producers is essential.
  • Strong project management, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement capabilities are crucial.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic direction of industry initiatives, including design, planning, and thematic development.
  • Manage program timelines, scheduling, speaker logistics, CRM tracking, and production documentation.
  • Build session slates, produce sessions, and identify and engage session producers and moderators.
  • Identify, negotiate, and secure high-profile speakers and strategic partners locally and internationally.

Additional Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent SPA at industry events and markets to build networks and inform program design.
  • Contribute to additional SPA events as required.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to direct reports.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments to ensure alignment of program objectives and internal workflows.
