Business Administration Traineeship Opportunity

About this Role
Penrith City Council is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to participate in a 12-month Business Administration traineeship. As a Business Administration Trainee, you will gain valuable experience and complete a Certificate III in Business while working in a supportive environment.
The traineeship will provide opportunities to work in various areas of the council, including Children's Services, Community Facilities and Recreation, Engineering, Environmental Health & Compliance, Financial Services, Information Management, Legal Services, and Library Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete required study, including attending TAFE and submitting coursework
- Work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Take on tasks as directed by supervisors and demonstrate initiative
- Develop high-level written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate basic computer and clerical skills, including Microsoft Office
Essential Criteria:
- Able to commit to the completion of required study and work simultaneously
- Willingness to take on tasks as directed by supervisors
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Demonstrated experience in being proactive and taking initiative in the workplace
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer and clerical skills, such as Microsoft Office
- Driver's licence (provisional licence satisfactory)
- No Certificate III or higher in Business
