Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is a leading organisation in the provision of fire prevention, preparedness, and response services to communities across Queensland.

We are seeking an experienced Legislative Alignment Project Manager to join our Rural Fire Service Queensland (RFSQ) Strategic Capability Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project plans and initiatives to support the coordination, review, and implementation of associated policy and doctrine for Brigade finance arrangements, training, and Brigade Model Rules.

This role requires strong project management skills, with experience in designing and delivering process and documentation change in a legislated environment. Knowledge and/or qualifications in project management or previous experience leading or working in a large complex project/program management environment would be highly desirable.

The salary range for this position is estimated to be $49,020 - $52,472 per annum, depending on the location and level of experience. Please note that the actual salary may vary based on individual circumstances.

About the Role:

  • Lead and manage the implementation of strategies and plans that facilitate legislative alignment within RFSQ
  • Facilitate and manage project initiatives in the analysis, review, and updating of policies, procedures, and doctrine
  • Develop and implement financial management arrangements to support volunteers and Brigades
  • Support risk and issue identification, assessment, and mitigation activities
  • Provide high-level advice to senior management and key stakeholders on a range of issues impacting and/or influencing the delivery of recommendations
