About Us:

Greyhound Racing Integrity Unit (GRIU) stewards play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the industry through transparent and fair conduct of greyhound racing.

We are currently seeking a Cadet Steward to join our team as part of a two-year cadetship. This position will allow you to learn and develop skills in all aspects of the Integrity and Racing system, including stewarding, investigations/inquiries, sampling, grading, and member services.

The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced stewards to ensure race meetings are conducted in accordance with the Rules of Racing and GRV policies and guidelines for participants.

You will be required to work flexibly with a combination of day, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts established by the GRV race meeting schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Show a clear understanding of the importance of rules
  • Possess a Victorian driver's licence
  • Have a genuine interest in the racing industry (desirable)
  • Be proficient in MS Office and able to prepare standard reports
