Job Description

The position of ICT Business Analyst involves eliciting, understanding and documenting business processes and requirements for new and changing ICT systems. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to identify needs, reach agreement on objectives and gain commitment to achieving results. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex ICT business issues, applying expertise to identify and recommend courses of action.

This position is a key component of the Enterprise Policing Systems branch, working in collaboration with multiple scrum teams to deliver and bring value to business users. The ideal candidate will have experience in mentoring, coaching and training, as well as delivering presentations and facilitating workshops.

Band 7 Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in the ICT sector as a Business Analyst or an ICT role closely related to a Business Analyst.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders.

Band 8 Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in the ICT sector as a Business Analyst or an ICT role closely related to a Business Analyst.
  • Ability to cultivate working relationships with Product Owners, Architects and relevant stakeholders.

Common Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship at the time of application.
  • Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • IT qualifications and/or experience working in the ICT sector.
  • System and data analysis skills and experience.
