About the Job

Workplace health and safety is a critical aspect of any organization, and as a WHS Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

Your primary responsibility will be to conduct inspections and investigations across various industries and risk factors, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions to prevent harm to workers.

You will also work closely with employers, workers, and other stakeholders to foster a culture of workplace safety and cooperation.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to analyze complex information and make sound judgments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections and investigations to identify workplace hazards and risks.
  • Collaborate with employers, workers, and other stakeholders to implement effective safety measures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to promote workplace safety and cooperation.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on workplace safety procedures and best practices.
  • Analyze data and information to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions to prevent harm to workers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a Diploma of Government (Workplace Inspection) or obtain within 18 months of engagement.
  • Character clearance (police records check).
  • Health clearance.
  • Security Clearance: Baseline.
