Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our plant bakery team. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for producing a wide variety of baked goods, including pies and celebration cakes, using your trade skills and plant baking experience.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing high-speed processing equipment and manual handling of ingredients and finished products. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce a range of pastry and cake products using your trade skills and plant bakery experience.
  • Follow health and safety standards and ensure that your area is clean and maintained at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet production targets and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and suggest ways to improve processes and products.
Requirements
  • Trade qualifications in pastry cookery or a related field.
  • Experience working in a plant bakery or large commercial kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
  • Commitment to quality and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
