Job Summary:

The NDIS Support Coordinator position plays a pivotal role in our organisation's Disability Services Unit, overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of support coordination services within the NDIS framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with customers, their families, and stakeholders
  • Intake referrals from various channels, including the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA)
  • Provide responsive, customer-centric support coordination service, ensuring individuals with disabilities exercise choice and control when receiving supports and services
  • Support and assist individuals to access NDIS and other disability services
  • Respond to Requests For Service (RFS) from NDIS, create service bookings and claiming matters through the NDIS provider portal
  • Carry out administrative and promotional duties as required
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS Code of Conduct and Workplace Health and Safety Regulations and Guidelines

Selection Criteria:

  • Excellent spoken and written English skills
  • Fluency in Cantonese or Korean language
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social work, Education, Leisure and Recreation, Welfare, Community Services, Case Management, Disability or related disciplines
  • Relevant knowledge and sound understanding of relevant legislation on NDIS
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, time management, and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in computer software
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Holding valid police check certificate and first aid certification
  • Will to undergo NDIS Worker Screening Check prior to employment
  • Valid Driver's Licence and possession of a fully insured vehicle
  • Completion of COVID-19 vaccination program

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working in NDIS Support Coordination
  • Willingness to travel across different Sydney metropolitan areas to meet prospective customers
