A highly skilled cybersecurity professional is required to lead our team in maintaining the highest standards of information security. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of industry regulations and best practices, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

About the Role

The IT Security Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies, coordinating internal and external audits, and responding to security incidents. They will also provide expert advice on security requirements for new projects and technologies.

  • Cybersecurity compliance and governance
  • Maintain Essential 8 compliance program
  • Coordinate internal and external audits
  • Investigate, coordinate and manage responses to security incidents and breaches
  • Develop and deliver cyber awareness campaigns across the business
  • Provide expert advice on security requirements for new projects and technologies
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelors Degree in ICT, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Industry certification preferred – CISSP, CISM etc
  • Experience in a Cybersecurity role in the Defence industry
  • Strong understanding of Essential 8, ISM and PSPF
  • Comfortable performing hands on assessments and tool implementation
  • Data driven mindset with ability to evaluate threats and controls in context
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Able to work independently and across teams

Due to a requirement to be eligible for a NV1 security clearance, Australian Citizenship is required.
