Your opportunity:

  • Dysphagia and communication assessment for adults.
  • Support residential aged care homes in Townsville with opportunities for PPT and Telehealth Clinic support.
  • Open to recent graduates and experienced clinicians.

You will provide high-quality mobile services to adults living in residential aged care facilities and the local community. Our clients have diverse needs, including dementia, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke, progressive neurological disorders, and ageing-related decline.

We offer extensive resources and internal clinical supervision. You can attend workshops and professional development programs, including an annual allowance for your interests.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage your appointments calendar – choose flexible working hours and locations that suit you.
  • Assess and diagnose swallowing and communication difficulties in clients.
  • Potential national travel to support regional clients.
  • Provide telehealth-based dysphagia and/or communication assessment and intervention.
  • Liaise with our team of professionals.
  • Advocate for clients with communication difficulties.
  • Work closely with organisational staff, support coordinators, and colleagues to ensure optimum care needs are met.
  • Offer consultative and educational support to clients, their families, and colleagues.
