Speech Pathologist Opportunity

As a Speech Pathologist, you will report to your state-based Team Leader and provide high-quality mobile services to adults in residential aged care facilities and the local community. We cater to individuals living with dementia, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke, progressive neurological disorders, and ageing-related decline.

You will have access to comprehensive resources, internal clinical supervision, and opportunities to attend workshops. You will also receive financial support to pursue professional development programs that interest you.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing your calendar of appointments with flexible working hours and locations.
  • Assessing and diagnosing clients' swallowing and communication difficulties.
  • Potential national travel to support clients in regional locations.
  • Providing telehealth-based dysphagia and/or communication assessment and intervention.
  • Liaising with our close-knit national team of Speech Pathologists.
  • Advocating for support for clients with communication difficulties.
  • Working closely with organisational staff, support coordinators, and colleagues to ensure optimum care needs are met.
  • Providing consultative and educational support to clients, their families, and colleagues.
