Job Overview

Civil engineers play a vital role in shaping the built environment. They work on various projects, including transport and general civil planning and design.

Responsibilities
  • Lead general civil work, including road design and urban precinct planning projects for government and private sector clients.
  • Act as project manager/technical lead on multiple projects, participating in business development practices, proposal writing, and bidding for civil infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers across Australia to deliver key transport design services on various transport infrastructure projects.
  • Participate in team leadership responsibilities, managing, training, and mentoring junior team members for professional growth and financial reporting on projects.
  • Engage in business and strategic planning activities for the team, collaborating with internal stakeholders effectively.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with RPEQ and ideally 12+ years of experience for consultancy, local council, or state government department roles.
  • A future leader with interest in succession and long-term growth within a global organization.
  • Extensive design and/or project management experience with state government or local council civil infrastructure and transport projects.
  • Proven knowledge of Australian standards and a track record of applying technical knowledge when delivering projects.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively at both internal and external, client-facing levels, developing new client relationships and maintaining existing networks.
