Insurance Coverage Specialist

AssistRx, a leading provider of innovative solutions, seeks an Insurance Coverage Specialist to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in ensuring patients access the medications and therapies they need.

This position works closely with healthcare providers and insurance plans/payers to gather information about a patient's insurance and coverage for specific pharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Healthcare Providers: Assist in addressing questions regarding coding and billing, and navigate complex reimbursement issues.
  • Prior Authorization Support: Provide assistance for Prior Authorizations (PA) for assigned caseloads and help navigate the appeals process to access medications.
  • Benefit Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into patient-specific benefits, verify insurance information, and document details including coverage, cost share, and access/provider options.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret complex insurance coverage data.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effective verbal communication skills to interact with healthcare providers and insurance companies.
  • Experience with Insurance Plans: 3-5 years of experience working with Buy & Bill, Major Medical & Pharmacy Benefit Coverage.
