About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Floating Op Shop Manager to provide leadership and cover leave across our thriving Brisbane stores. As part of our large and expanding op shop network, you will oversee daily operations, manage a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, and ensure our customers enjoy a welcoming and engaging shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Represent the RSPCA Qld Op Shop team and brand through your passion for all things preloved and second-hand, encouraging the same within your team to create a positive supportive store atmosphere.
  2. Work closely with the Op Shop Store Manager and Area Manager to support the goals and mission of the RSPCA Qld.
  3. Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring every customer has a positive experience in our stores.
  4. Train and support volunteers, empowering them to excel in their roles.
  5. Drive sales to achieve set targets, contributing to the success of our op shop network.
  6. Oversee and review all goods for sale in the store, ensuring a curated and appealing shopping experience for customers.
  7. Direct and monitor the daily register opening & closing procedures, maintaining accurate records and ensuring seamless transactions.
  8. Maintain and periodically review the shop's pricing list, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability.About You

You will be a great communicator with top-notch interpersonal skills, confident in retail and with demonstrated leadership experience in a retail environment (minimum of 2 years in a similar role). Your skills and qualifications may also include:

  • Knowledge of fashion and clothing brands
  • Proven visual/merchandising skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High level of organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Sound computer skills
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to supervise & provide direction to a small team
