We are seeking a highly skilled Resource Manager to join our team at NTT DATA Business Solutions. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for effectively managing the allocation and utilization of our team of consultants.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the resourcing function, ensuring the effective allocation of internal and external resources between client projects and internal tasks.
- Develop and maintain resource forecasting and resourcing accuracy based on inputs from the Sales, Support, and Delivery teams.
- Manage the end-to-end engagement of contractors, including onshore and offshore resources with sister or partner organizations.
- Monitor resourcing aspects of projects to ensure adequate resource allocation and highlight potential gaps or conflicts.
- Provide real-time accurate reporting on roster coverage, demand, and gap analysis, identifying instances of underutilization and conflicts.
- Resolve booking conflicts and negotiate acceptable outcomes with all involved parties.
- Alert relevant managers to potential concerns or issues with meeting project requirements.
- Drive the maintenance of skills matrices by consultants for up-to-date skill classifications.
- 4+ years of experience as a Resource Manager in IT consultancy or professional services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present simple and effective solution options.
- High level of organization, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to manage up, down, and sideways.
- Proactive and self-managing, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and make sound decisions.
- Knowledge of consulting business practices and procedures, with experience working with management and in a progressive and evolving professional services organization.
