Senior Electrical Engineer Position Overview


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Boral's Berrima Cement Works.


This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for leading the safe implementation of electrical and instrumentation maintenance plans, overseeing electrical projects and planned major shutdowns, and ensuring electrical safety and compliance of Boral's Electrical Engineering Control Plan.


The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of electrical standards and compliance requirements, as well as well-developed people management skills. The ideal candidate will also have a degree or diploma in electrical engineering and proven experience as an electrical engineer within heavy industry.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and provide support to the electrical department, ensuring the performance of electrical and instrumentation equipment meets safety, production, reliability, and environmental targets.
  • Ensure the full and correct functionality of site electrical systems.
  • Carry out various electrical engineering tasks to ensure the ongoing safety and reliability of all electrical systems employed on the site, assisting with breakdowns and root cause analysis.
  • Develop, implement, and manage upgrades, improvements, and capital works projects as required.
  • Coordinate and supervise electrical contractors to ensure high-quality performance.
  • Mentor and guide the electrical team, ensuring development and performance are achieved.


About the Opportunity:

  • $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
