A Key Leadership Opportunity

Boral's esteemed upstream cement business is a crucial supplier for our downstream businesses and external customers.

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the safe implementation of electrical and instrumentation maintenance plans, oversee electrical projects and planned major shutdowns, and ensure electrical safety and compliance of Boral's Electrical Engineering Control Plan. This is a pivotal leadership position where you will provide hands-on guidance and support to a large Electrical Trades team.

This role is ideal for an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong knowledge of electrical standards and compliance requirements, and well-developed people management skills.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage & provide support to the electrical department, ensuring the performance of electrical and instrumentation equipment meets safety, production, reliability & environmental targets
  • Ensure the full and correct functionality of site electrical systems
  • Carrying out a variety of electrical engineering tasks to ensure the ongoing safety and reliability of all electrical systems employed on the site, assisting with breakdowns and root cause analysis
  • Develop, implement and manage; upgrades, improvements and capital works projects as required
  • Hands-on coordination and supervision of electrical contractors to ensure high quality performance
  • Actively mentoring and guiding the electrical team, ensuring development and performance is achieved

What We're Looking For:

Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer within heavy industry
  • Ability to diagnose problems and identify potential solutions by thinking outside of the box to deliver alternative outcomes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical standards and compliance requirements
  • Computer literacy and sound analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with all people, and to lead and influence
