Expert Aviation Advisor

The role of an Aviation Specialist is to provide advisory services to the Australia-Pacific Partnerships for Aviation program, enhancing aviation safety and driving economic growth in the Pacific region.
This position involves collaborating with Ministries, regulators, and industry stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved outcomes in areas such as policy development, safety audits, demand analysis, and airport planning.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement policies to strengthen the Pacific aviation sector
- Conduct safety audits and assessments to improve aviation safety outcomes
- Provide technical assistance to Ministries and regulators on airport planning and management
- Support the development of programs and projects to drive economic growth in the Pacific region
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of significant working experience in one or more of the areas of expertise set out above. They must also have experience working in Pacific Island countries or similar operating environments.
Candidates must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. A strong understanding of the Pacific aviation sector and its challenges is essential.
