ROLE OVERVIEW...
As a Funds Allocation Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately receipting and allocating funds from various stakeholders as defined by our company. This includes processing payment receipts from clients, fleet financiers, and buyers of returned vehicles across all operating systems and products, ensuring that our ledgers reflect an accurate record of outstanding debts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure timely and precise receipting of all invoice payments to maintain an up-to-date debtors position for the Collections team.
  • Utilize your knowledge of job processes and system requirements to identify and process cash receipts from bank statements, promptly following up on unidentified deposits.
  • Collaborate closely with the Collections Department to allocate cash and report any discrepancies in payments.
  • Reconcile debtor accounts, including allocation of funds and conducting ad-hoc reconciliations of client accounts.
  • Perform general duties such as managing direct debits, generating invoices, addressing suspense accounts, and investigating allocation discrepancies.
  • Manage your time effectively to meet mid-month and month-end reporting deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Possess a Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate experience in payroll processing.
  • Exhibit strong financial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Show proven ability to navigate challenges and achieve results.
  • Have experience with database software and the MS Office Suite.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understand payment plans and accounting procedures.
