Vocational training in literacy and numeracy skills development is a key area of focus for this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering education programs to at-risk youth, with the primary goal of improving literacy and numeracy skills to increase pathway options.

The position will be based at our parent campus, Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre; however, the ability to travel will be advantageous as we visit partner sites throughout the state.

**Highly desirable qualities include:**

- A degree qualification in teaching, maths, and/or English.
- Demonstrated experience in writing learning and assessment materials focused on literacy and numeracy skills development.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in mapping LL&N courses to VET and school curriculum requirements.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience teaching literacy and numeracy programs to diverse groups.

**Applicants must possess:**

- A relevant teaching qualification.
- Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.
- In addition to registration, teachers working in Education and Care Services require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services.
