Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Anaesthetists to join our growing Anaesthesia Service at Rockhampton Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality care to patients across Central Queensland.

This is an excellent opportunity for specialists who want to consolidate their consultant role in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will have the chance to work alongside our Director of Anaesthesia and contribute to the development of our services.

About the Role

As an Anaesthetist with our team, you will be responsible for providing anaesthetic services to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This will involve conducting pre-operative assessments, administering anaesthetics, and managing patient care during and after surgery.

You will also be expected to participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest advances in anaesthesia and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Anaesthesia with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA). In general, this will require Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA).
  • Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program of appropriate College.
