Senior Anaesthesiology Specialist

As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthesia services to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your role will involve assisting the Rockhampton Director of Anaesthesia in ensuring that anaesthesia services are delivered safely, reliably, and efficiently.
- Provide clinical and administrative support to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Conduct acute pain service ward rounds, pre-anaesthetic assessment clinics, and anaesthesia for endoscopy, general surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics, gynaecology, urology, ophthalmology, Ear Nose and Throat, dental, and investigative services.
- Participate in the after-hours and weekend on-call roster for the Department of Anaesthesia.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care to patients.
Required Skills and Qualifications
You must be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and hold a Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College for Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent qualification. This includes:
- A medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Completion of specialist training in anaesthetics.
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Eligibility for membership with the Australian and New Zealand College for Anaesthetists (ANZCA).
