Job Overview:

Pursue a role as an Apprentice Electrician at Barron Gorge Hydro Power Station in Cairns.

This is a 4-year fixed term contract offering exceptional opportunities to learn a technical trade and contribute to planned maintenance delivery.

You'll apply acquired skills to assist in delivering planned preventative maintenance, ensuring reliable renewable generation.

The successful candidate will complete on and off-the-job training, including TAFE study blocks to achieve a Certificate III in Engineering Electrotechnology.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Successfully complete a Certificate III in Engineering Electrotechnology (4-year course).
  • Apply learned skills daily on an operating site.
  • Naturally motivated, electrically minded, and committed to safety.
  • Eager to learn, not afraid to ask questions or seek guidance.
  • Passionate about contributing to renewable, reliable, and affordable energy for Queensland.
