We have three (3) Trainee Administration Officer positions and seven (7) Apprenticeships available, offering you the perfect opportunity to gain practical experience, develop new skills, and contribute to your community.

Available Traineeships:

You will have the chance to apply for the following traineeships/apprenticeships, each offering unique opportunities to build your skills:

  • Trainee Administration Officer - Business Support: Provide vital administrative support to various business units within Council through assisting in facilitating communication and information flow to ensure that processes run efficiently and effectively.
  • Trainee Administration Officer (School Based) - Business Support: Provide vital administrative support to various business units within Council through assisting in facilitating communication and information flow to ensure that processes run efficiently and effectively.
  • Trainee Administration Officer - Revenue: To provide vital day to day administrative support for issuing notices as part of the Water Billing function, and opportunities to gain exposure in other parts of the unit including rates, revenue control, debt recovery functions and accounts receivable services to internal council units.
  • Apprentice Fitter & Turner – Mechanical Maintenance: Assist with maintaining Council's Water & Waste assets. You will have the opportunity to assist to diagnose, repair and service assets, complete job reports, fit out of commissioning/decommissioning of assets, order/collection of parts from suppliers and provide excellent customer service.
  • 3 x Apprentice Electrician – Electrical maintenance: You will play a key role in assisting with various aspects of the Electrical Maintenance Team. From assisting in maintaining and repairing electrical infrastructure, to installing new equipment. You will have a focus on safety and ensuring excellent customer service is provided
  • Apprentice Electrician – Facilities Maintenance: You will assist qualified tradesmen with keeping our infrastructure and building systems functioning smoothly every day. You will be assisting with the maintenance of Council's electrical installations and equipment, CCTV systems, phone and data networks.
  • 2 x Horticultural Apprentice – City Venues & Parks & Open Spaces: Assist in maintaining and enhancing gardens, parks, and public spaces enjoyed by thousands in our community.
