Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Https:Www.Energyjobline.ComSitemap Full time
About the Role:

As part of AGL's Climate Transition Action Plan, we are committed to closing our thermal assets and exploring how to manage and develop our land assets post-power generation closure. We are currently developing whole-of-site master plans and structure plans for our existing land assets. Our goal is to partner with organizations to utilize the energy infrastructure and land on our existing sites to develop Energy Hubs. These hubs will focus on creating areas that facilitate industries progressing manufacturing within the renewable and circular economy sectors, optimizing the use of existing infrastructure and new renewable energy assets.

Key Responsibilities:

* Guide and contribute to the development and implementation of Site Master and Development Plans for each of the sites (Loy Yang, Liddell, Bayswater, and Torrens Island Power Stations).
* Coordinate and manage activities related to statutory plan making from initiation to adoption by the statutory assessment authority.
* Obtain environmental assessments, planning applications, and other approvals by working with and through relevant Government agencies.
* Manage the technical scope and reporting process by coordinating external consultants and gaining input from key internal personnel.
* Assist with developing, managing, and implementing Stakeholder Engagement Plans.

About You:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in regulatory approvals and land repurposing. You will have a dynamic and outcome-based approach, even in times of uncertainty, as well as adaptability, strategic thinking, and advanced stakeholder engagement skills. You will also have tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Town Planning, or similar disciplines, and extensive experience delivering strategic land use and planning projects. Additionally, you will have advanced project management experience, advanced communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. We offer a wide range of benefits, including flexible working options, discounts on energy, telcos, and solar plans, and access to an additional week of recharge leave per year. We are committed to maintaining a diverse workforce and encourage applicants to share their lived experiences. We offer reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process and respect the privacy of those who choose not to disclose. We are a Circle Back Initiative employer and commit to responding to every applicant. Our pre-employment screening process includes a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and a medical assessment if necessary. The information provided as part of your application to AGL will be managed in accordance with the AGL Privacy Policy. We do not accept agency submissions unless approval has been granted by a member of the Talent Acquisition team. Candidates submitted by an agency without approval will not be considered by AGL.
