About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Officer to join our team at NSW Strategic Services And Advice. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide strategic, client-focused legal advice and services to support the accelerated delivery of homes and other strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and services to support the Department's and the broader Portfolio needs
  • Lead Departmental negotiations in areas including commercial law, real property law and property development matters
  • Support the Principal Legal Officers and Directors to drive the vision and direction of the teams
  • Motivate, mentor and supervise junior members to deliver on initiatives and goals
Requirements
  • Admitted or qualified for admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in the Supreme Court of NSW
  • Hold, or be eligible to hold, a NSW Practicing Certificate
  • Strong property law background and pragmatic approach to issues
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to advise diverse stakeholder groups at all levels
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in providing comprehensive legal advice and support
