Senior Legal Officer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Officer to join our team at NSW Strategic Services and Advice. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide strategic, client-focused legal advice and services to support the accelerated delivery of homes and other strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance on complex property law matters, including leasing, divestments, acquisitions, and other property-related transactions.
- Develop and implement effective legal strategies to support the delivery of homes and other strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive the vision and direction of the team, motivating and mentoring junior members to deliver on initiatives and goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community groups.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in property law and regulations, providing expert advice and guidance to the team.
Requirements
- Admitted or qualified for admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in the Supreme Court of NSW and hold, or be eligible to hold, a NSW Practicing Certificate.
- Strong property law background, with a pragmatic approach to issues and excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Proven expertise and experience in providing comprehensive legal advice and support, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
