Family Law Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Family Law Specialist to deliver comprehensive legal services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Queensland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice and representation in Family and Civil Law proceedings, including casework relating to Child Protection and Domestic Violence applications.
This role involves engaging directly with clients daily, honing advocacy skills within a busy team, and managing workflows without the pressure of billable hours, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Admission as a Legal Practitioner in Queensland or eligibility for a current Practising Certificate and admission to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the Australian High Court.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Family and Civil Law proceedings, including Child Protection and Domestic Violence applications.
- Minimum of two years full-time experience in a similar role, with resilience in handling complex cases and ability to develop culturally competent service skills.
