About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Network Operations Engineer to support our mission of providing high-quality network services to our customers. As a key member of our Network Operations Centre (NOC) team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and event management to identify potential network or security issues
- Incident management to resolve network and security incidents within set Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets
- Performing proactive risk assessments and collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure seamless incident management, request fulfillment, and problem resolution
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including processes, playbooks, and knowledge articles
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- At least 3 years' experience in technical networking roles, preferably within an Internet Service Provider (ISP) or large Enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, including IPv4 and IPv6, CG-NAT, MPLS, IPSEC, Segment Routing, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, EVPN, VRF, DNS, DHCP, and RADIUS
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, both active (devices) and passive (fibre)
- Experience with Cisco ASR9k routers, Cisco NCS routers, Juniper routers, EVPN, EIGRP, Fortinet firewalls, and Corero DDoS Protection
- Experience with network monitoring and IT Service Management (ITSM) systems, such as LogicMonitor
- Relevant vendor certifications, including Cisco CCNA, Juniper JCNA, Fortinet NSE, ITIL 4, and Network Security certifications
