**About the Role**

Based at our Dandenong site but delivering support throughout Australia and New Zealand is the newly created position of Specialist Ergonomist. The Industrialisation team at Alstom is exciting to present this opportunity to take the lead and drive the focus of ensuring our people’s health at work forward.

Health and safety has always been of the utmost importance, however we see the opportunity for an experienced, passionate and approachable professional to take this further to a more proactive, progressive and embedded level, leading the way for our global business.

Whilst we don’t expect any pre-existing knowledge or experience in rail, trains or any particular industry, we are looking for someone with an unparalleled passion for, and demonstrated expertise in, ergonomics and a real can-do attitude.

**Core responsibilities include;**
- Structuring the ergonomic approach at sites, training, supporting and mobilising relevant teams regarding ergonomic matters
- Lead the assessment of current, and implementation of improved, standards, activities and tools to deliver a design that minimises and prevents injury
- Define and implement the relevant ergonomic strategy, coordinating with global colleagues as required to ensure consistency in methodologies and technology
- Develop and improve local competencies and lead a health first culture
- Collaborate across all areas of the business to establish a preventative, proactive relationship leading to a united front to mitigate risks and improve health outcomes.

- A proven specialist in the field able to work autonomously and comply with standards
