Job Title: Inclusion Strategist

This role focuses on developing and implementing organisational approaches, governance, and programs to deliver on our Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) vision and Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

About the Role:

We seek a visionary leader to join our team as Inclusion Strategist. This role will shape strategies to promote cultural awareness and inclusion within the workplace.

The successful candidate will lead a small team of First Nations colleagues who specialise in employment, learning, and engagement. They will report to a senior executive and have a dotted reporting line to a strategic sponsor.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including our Indigenous network, to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Develop effective strategies to promote cultural awareness and inclusion within the workplace.
  • Contribute to improving outcomes across the government sector.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to deliver organisational aspirations as an inclusive employer.
Key Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline or relevant professional experience.
  • High level skills in project and/or program management and evaluation, including stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to drive strategic initiatives, manage complex projects, and deliver DIB outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of First Nations cultures and historical, economic, and social factors impacting outcomes.
  • Experience in designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating diverse workplace programs and strategies.
