Underground Shotcrete Operator

 

We are seeking a skilled Underground Shotcrete Operator to join our team at Northparkes. As a key member of our underground operations, you will be responsible for applying shotcrete efficiently and effectively to support and strengthen underground structures.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to safety and a proven track record of working in underground environments with precision and care. You will also possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work well in a team environment, and a strong commitment to upholding our health, safety, and security standards.

In this role, you will operate shotcrete spraying equipment with precision and care, apply shotcrete efficiently to support and strengthen underground structures, perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment to keep operations running smoothly, uphold Evolution's health, safety, and security standards, and demonstrate behaviours that reflect Evolution Mining's core values.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate shotcrete spraying equipment in underground environments with precision and care.
  • Apply shotcrete efficiently to support and strengthen underground structures.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Uphold Evolution's health, safety, and security standards—identifying risks and promoting a safe work culture.
  • Demonstrate behaviours that reflect Evolution Mining's core values.

Requirements:

  • Residency in the Parkes area—or willingness to relocate to this welcoming regional community.
  • A minimum of 12 months' experience in a similar underground role.
  • Experience operating Jacon units is preferred but not essential.
  • Certification to work at heights and security clearance to handle explosives, or the ability to gain this licence.
  • A strong commitment to safety—it's second nature to you.
  • A current 'C' Class Australian Manual Driver's Licence.
