The OpportunityUlan Underground Mine has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the Maintenance Team.
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be an integral crew member driving performance through efficient maintenance processes.About youAs the Mechanical Fitter at Ulan Underground, you will demonstrate technical proficiency through effective maintenance and fault-finding work on mechanical systems and equipment.
You will have exceptional teamwork skills, complimented by a positive attitude and a strong safety-focus.Responsibilities of the role include:Safely and effectively operate and maintain underground mining equipment and other heavy machinery to a standard and quality required to meet target outputsEffectively manage risks associated with maintenance activitiesCarry out planned maintenance and schedulingAttend to breakdowns and apply suitable fault-find strategiesWork with engineering and production personnel to achieve safety and performance outcomesThe ideal candidate has the following skills and experiences:Mechanical Trade QualificationStrong safety focus with a sound understanding of risk management and safe work proceduresExceptional teamwork and communication skillsPrevious experience working underground (preferably coal)Make the move to Mudgee and benefit from:Regional Allowance of up to $9,000 (role specific)Training and career development opportunitiesRemote area housing assistanceEducation AssistanceState of the art Sporting ComplexLively community, with markets, music and festivalsAbout Ulan UndergroundUlan Underground is an established, efficient and high production underground longwall coal mining operation situated in the western coalfields of NSW.
