People and Culture Advisor Position

This is a senior-level role that will provide expert guidance and support to employees in the Queensland Parliament. The People and Culture Advisor will play a key part in promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in human resources, with a strong background in industrial relations, complex case management, WH&S, and HR policy and procedures. They will be able to develop new policies and procedures to drive and support the strategic direction of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver HR advisory and consultancy services to employees and managers on HR policy and governance matters.
  • Conduct research and analysis to develop advice, policy, procedure, and strategic documents.
  • Develop and implement new policies and procedures to drive and support the strategic direction of the organization.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of generalist HR experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Depth of specialist knowledge in at least 2 key disciplines of HR.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant industrial acts, awards, and frameworks.
  • Strong written skills with experience in writing policies and procedures.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications within HR or a related discipline.
  • Previous working experience within the Queensland public sector.
