The Office of Local Government is seeking a highly skilled Project Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of the workforce development function, you will play a vital role in coordinating activities and providing administrative support to ensure the success of strategic initiatives.
This temporary full-time opportunity offers a unique chance to make a real impact on the local government sector. You will work closely with councils to deliver high-quality projects that drive sustainable workforce development and strengthen local capacity.
About the Role:
- Coordinate project plans, milestones, and stakeholder communication to achieve project goals.
- Provide exceptional customer experience skills to local councils, working collaboratively to meet their needs.
- Assist with workforce development initiatives, including recruitment of apprentices, trainees, and cadets for in-demand trades and professions.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with government, non-government, and industry representatives.
Requirements:
- Exceptional customer service skills with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
- Strong workforce development skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, or related field (or equivalent experience).
