• Salary: $85K incl. super + not-for-profit salary packaging benefit – up to $15,900 tax-free

Sydney Community Foundation (SCF) is one of Australia's leading community foundations, delivering impact through its key funds—Sydney Women's Fund, Keeping Women Out of Prison Coalition, Impact100 Sydney, The Maybanke Fund—and place-based programs across Greater Sydney.

We are seeking a dynamic, digitally savvy Communications and Events professional to lead the creation of compelling content and campaigns, while also delivering major events and fundraising initiatives that grow the profile and impact of all SCF programs.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced not-for-profit environment, with strong project management skills, creativity, and a passion for social change.

What You'll Do

Communications & Marketing

• Create print and digital content including annual reports, newsletters, impact reports, brochures, and donor pitch decks using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
• Manage SCF's online presence: website updates, eDMs, fundraising campaigns (Raisely), event platforms (Humanitix), Google Analytics and social media.
• Design, manage and track/report on paid advertising campaigns across all digital channels.
• Collate stories and data from grantees to showcase impact in reports, campaigns, and advocacy.
• Coordinate contractors and talent for video production, and film/edit social media video content.

Events & Fundraising

• Plan and deliver donor briefings, bequest gatherings, webinars, and community engagement events.
• Coordinate fundraising campaigns and appeals across SCF's impact funds.
• Support donor stewardship and sponsorship programs.
• Lead the development of a new multi-day annual philanthropy event involving stakeholders across Sydney.

Program & Stakeholder Support

• Support SCF's key impact funds with advocacy, research, promotions, and beneficiary storytelling.
• Collaborate with Advisory Councils, Board members, and partners on joint initiatives.

Professional Advisors & Media

• Build relationships with professional advisors (lawyers, accountants, wealth managers) to generate client referrals for structured philanthropy.
• Grow SCF's visibility in financial and business media (AFR, The Australian, trade press).

About You

• A communications and marketing all-rounder with fundraising and events experience.
• Strong writer able to craft engaging, impactful content.
• Digital native: confident with Mailchimp, social media platforms, Google Analytics, Wordpress, Raisely.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects.
• A collaborative team player who builds strong relationships with donors and partners.
• Passionate about gender equity, philanthropy, and community-led change.
• Proficient in Canva and experienced in Adobe Creative Suite.
