We are seeking an experienced Structural/Sheet Metal Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

As a Structural/Sheet Metal Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our fleet by carrying out aircraft sheet metal repairs according to SAAB repair statements and SRM.

You will also assist in composite repairs following SAAB SRM and SAAB repair statements, participate in corrosion/damage removal and assessment, contribute to the development of improved structural repair processes and ICAs, maintain company sheet metal tooling associated with the sheet metal workshop, support training of structural repair work and sheet metal practices, ensure adherence to safety regulations, and provide sheet metal support at other bases and during AOG events.

Requirements:
  • Hold a MEA41322 or MEA41318 Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Structures
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years experience in aircraft structural repairs
  • Demonstrate well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Exhibit a highly motivated and enthusiastic attitude
  • Show sound work ethics
  • Meet requirements for holding an Aviation Security Identity Card
Preferred Skills:
  • Heavy maintenance experience
  • NDI experience or approvals
  • CASA B1 & A1 licence
