Leadership Opportunity

This is a high-impact role that involves driving a pay remediation project from strategy to execution. The successful candidate will oversee the full lifecycle of the program, working alongside internal teams and external experts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver the program in line with defined timelines and governance structures.
  • Collaborate with HR, payroll, finance, and legal teams to ensure end-to-end compliance.
  • Engage and manage third-party advisors and vendors to deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Ensure program documentation is accurate, clear, and auditable.
  • Prepare and deliver reports to senior management, regulators, unions, and employees.
  • Develop and maintain risk registers, decision logs, and project plans across multiple workstreams.
  • Support clear, employee-friendly communication on remediation outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A strong background in HR or Industrial Relations, ideally in complex environments in similar sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience managing pay remediation, payroll audit, or award compliance projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian Modern Awards – SCHADS Award is highly regarded.
  • Solid project management skills, with a structured and outcomes-driven approach.
  • Advanced Excel and data reconciliation capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with high integrity and discretion.
Bonus Points
  • Experience working with external auditors, legal teams, or regulators.
  • Exposure to organisations with immature systems or complex award interpretation issues.
  • Knowledge of payroll systems or payroll operations.
