Lead Educator Role

We are seeking an exceptional Lead Educator to join our team and play a key role in shaping the educational experience of our children. As a senior educator, you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring a team of educators to achieve excellence in curriculum delivery and documentation.

This is an outstanding opportunity to develop your leadership skills and contribute to the growth and success of our early learning centre.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong focus on creating a nurturing environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and well-being in children. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).

  • Program Planning: Develop and implement engaging and challenging programs that meet the diverse needs of children.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance, support, and feedback to educators to enhance their skills and confidence.
  • Documentation: Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of programs, including observations, assessments, and reports.

You will work closely with the Centre Educational Leader to ensure that all aspects of the program are meeting the high standards required by the NQA.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve excellent results.
  • Curriculum Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the EYLF and NQS, and the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Qualifications: ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or willingness to study towards a Diploma within 3 months.

Please note that additional Child Protection Training (CHCPRT025, CHCPRT001, CHCPRT026, CHCPRT002, or CHCECE057) or the willingness to obtain before starting is also required.
