About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Urban Planning Expert to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member, you will have the opportunity to shape cities and communities through your expertise in statutory and strategic urban planning.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a range of services including advice on smart city frameworks, land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, and project management.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external clients, responding promptly and clearly to their needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals on multi-disciplinary projects, meeting deadlines, staying within scope, and achieving commercial outcomes.
  • Draft submissions, proposals, and advice for clients.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance initiatives and business strategies.
  • Promote the organization's services to create business opportunities.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Regional and Urban/Town Planning or a related field.
  • Experience in statutory or strategic planning, preferably gained in a consultancy or local government environment.
  • A developing appreciation and understanding of statutory planning frameworks, controls, and processes.
  • A strong solutions-focused approach to work.
