Urban Planning Expert

This role is pivotal in shaping, maintaining and protecting the diverse urban fabric across our municipality.
As a key member of our team, you will provide quality and professional advice to customers, prepare submissions and represent Council at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. You will also assist in the review and monitoring of planning policies and procedures.
Key duties of the position include:
- Providing quality and professional advice to customers
- Preparing submissions and representing Council at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal
- Assisting in the review and monitoring of planning policies and procedures
Key skills and experiences of the positions include:
- A well-developed understanding of the Victorian urban planning system and related acts
- Ability to research and analyse planning-related issues
- Ability to manage time, set priorities and prepare and implement work plans in order to achieve desired results within the resources and time available
- Well-developed customer service principles
