Medical Reception Role

Healius is a leading healthcare provider seeking an energetic and detail-oriented medical receptionist to join our friendly team.

This patient-facing role involves greeting patients, managing appointment bookings with professionalism and care, handling patient enquiries, maintaining accurate patient records, processing Medicare billing, payments, and end-of-day banking.

Assisting clinical staff to keep daily operations running smoothly and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage appointment bookings, patient records, and medical billing systems with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict privacy guidelines when handling sensitive patient information.
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in medical reception or administration highly regarded.

Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills essential for this role.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a calm and composed demeanor under pressure.

Basic computer skills and proficiency in using digital systems a must.

Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting advantageous but not essential.
