Technical Manager-Powders

The Technical Manager is responsible for spearheading the development and execution of R&D programs focused on new technologies, product optimization, and strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical initiatives in cream cheese and powders to drive business results.
  • Collaborate with sales and customers to identify opportunities and resolve issues that impact business performance.
  • Drive product and process optimization to improve quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness throughout the organization.
  • Spearhead quality assurance and regulatory compliance to minimize risk.
  • Partner with engineering on plant upgrades and validations to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in Dairy Science or a related field is essential.
  • Ideally, 10+ years of experience in dairy manufacturing; 5+ years in R&D or technical roles.
Skills and Expertise:
  • Detailed knowledge of dairy product manufacturing, particularly powders and cream cheese.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities to resolve complex problems.
  • Expertise in chemical and microbiological data interpretation to inform decision-making.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional teams and strategic delivery to drive business outcomes.
  • Commercial acumen and experience supporting sales growth to maximize revenue.
  • Understanding of international trade and tariff arrangements to optimize business operations.
