The Opportunity

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work closely with the hospitality team in a supportive environment with autonomy to deliver resident-centric care in a timely and compassionate manner. This role is perfect for individuals studying cookery courses who want hands-on experience in a rewarding setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Kitchen Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our residents by preparing and delivering nutritious meals in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident, including special dietary requirements as instructed by the Head Chef.
  • Excellent safety awareness, adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols in food preparation and serving areas to meet regulatory standards.
  • Bring genuine care and compassion to meal times, making each dining experience unforgettable and enjoyable for our elderly residents.
  • Positivity and willingness to lend a hand are invaluable in our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation.
Requirements
  • Eligible to work in Australia and living in the local community.
  • Prior experience in preparing and delivering meals in a commercial environment.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or ability to apply for one (at your own cost and valid for 5 years).
