Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a clear visual direction for our games, aligned with the company's overall artistic vision.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Engineering, to ensure that our visual direction is integrated into the game development process.
  • Lead a team of artists and designers to ensure that they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality artwork.
  • Develop and implement strategies for outsourcing and documentation to ensure that our artistic vision is executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Partner with Product and Delivery teams to provide visibility into team deliverables and velocity, ensuring that our artistic vision is aligned with business objectives.
  • Maintain a healthy development pace for artists, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality artwork.
  • Review final work, delivering feedback to ensure quality and consistency, and hold the team accountable to Riot's art quality and performance standards.
  • Ensure IP cohesion and fidelity across projects, maintaining a consistent visual language throughout our games.
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive team environment where all members feel valued, and reduce noise, emotional friction, and toxic patterns within the team.
  • Balance the needs of Riot with the needs of the team, ensuring that our artistic vision is executed in a way that meets business objectives.
  • Represent the team's voice and direction to other teams and products, driving the development of efficient art pipelines.
Requirements
  • BA in Game Art Development (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience as a Senior or Lead Artist
  • 10+ years of industry experience
  • 4+ years of management experience
