Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Creative Director to lead the visual direction of Country Style magazine. Reporting to the Editor, this role will be responsible for setting the brand style and aesthetic expectations for Country Style, guiding the editorial team in creating beautiful and aspirational pages, and enhancing the visual direction of the magazine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and create stunning layouts that maintain the unique look and feel of Country Style magazine.
  • Collaborate with the Editor and editorial team to set the vision for the magazine and associated brand offshoots, including digital.
  • Commission and organise cover and photo shoots that align with the brand's visual direction.
  • Work closely with photographers and stylists on house, people, and decorating shoots to ensure high-quality visual content.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate qualifications as a graphic designer.
  • At least 10 years of work experience in a creative director or senior art director role on a magazine.
  • Magazine production knowledge and a strong understanding of regional Australia.
  • Digital experience and a keen eye for visual storytelling.
