Job Title: Transportation Operations Coordinator

Role Overview:

The Transportation Operations Coordinator is responsible for leading the Council's traffic and transport program, delivering a proactive service to achieve an efficient, safe, and integrated transport environment within the Local Government Area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for sustainable transport opportunities and seek funding from relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice on traffic and road safety issues related to strategic plans and legal proceedings.
  • Manage resources effectively to promote a team environment that achieves business objectives.
  • Facilitate public consultation processes and employ high-level conflict resolution skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Experience with Auto CAD software and knowledge of EEO policies and procedures are also essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Civil & Environmental Engineering.
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Construction Induction (White Card).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in local government traffic and/or related fields.

Requirements:

Applicants must possess a tertiary qualification in Civil/Civil & Environmental Engineering, hold a current Class C Drivers Licence, and have completed Construction Induction (White Card) training. A minimum of 5 years' experience in local government traffic and/or related fields is also mandatory.
