Job Summary:

This position is a critical link between finance and production teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and analyzing project costs, maintaining accurate cost reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring timely financial information flow to support project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, preferably in the film, TV, VFX, animation, or creative production environment. They should possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and experience with accounting software and/or production tracking systems.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the financial management of visual effects projects within a studio environment. You will work closely with producers and finance teams to analyze project costs, monitor budget progress, and ensure compliance with internal standards. Your excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment will make you an asset to our team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Track and maintain up-to-date production cost data, collaborating closely with producers and finance teams.
  • Analyze actuals vs. budget/ETCs, flagging potential overruns or inefficiencies, and working with producers and senior production accountants to monitor budget progress.
  • Prepare project-specific reports, including weekly cost updates, burn rate analysis, and production performance metrics.
  • Integrate financial and production data to ensure alignment between project execution and financial outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Relevant finance or accounting experience in film, TV, VFX, animation, or creative production environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and experience with accounting software and/or production tracking systems.
  • Solid understanding of accruals, prepayments, cost coding, and general ledger principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
